Webinars for inclusive employers
Explore accessible and inclusive recruitment practices - on us!
As you know, Evenbreak exists to help inclusive employers like you attract more disabled applicants so that you can gain all the benefits of a more diverse workforce. And, of course, attracting talented disabled applicants is only part of the story - there is more involved in being a genuinely inclusive employer. As part of Evenbreak's commitment to promoting best practice in inclusion, we are offering a number of live webinars on subjects we hope you will find beneficial. As a social enterprise we are keen to do all we can to help employers improve their practice in employing disabled people, and so there is no charge for these webinars. They are part of our commitment to creating social impact and making the world of work more accessible to talented disabled people.
You needn't even leave your desk - all you need is internet access and speakers, or a headset, or a telephone. You can attend them all, or just pick and choose the ones you think will be relevant to you. Here they are:
Thursday, 25 April, 2.00pm - Employing Disabled People; the bottom line
This webinar busts some of the myths around employing disabled people and identifies the business benefits of tapping into this talent pool
Thursday, 16 May, 2.00pm - How Accessible is Your Recruitment Process?
If we are serious about wishing to attract disabled candidates, every stage in the recruitment process needs to be accessible and free of barriers. How does yours match up?
Wednesday, 5 June, 2.00pm - Reasonable Adjustments; making life easier
Most disabled employees need no adjustments, and for others there may be ways in which they can be enabled to be more comfortable, productive and included. This is very important, and usually much easier and cheaper than you think.
Thursday, 27 June, 2.00pm - Disability Etiquette; inclusive practice
Sometimes we can be so frightened of "saying the wrong thing" that we don't say anything at all! Here is a light-hearted way to feel relaxed around disabled people (and help them feel relaxed around you!)
Wednesday, 17 July, 2.00pm - Disability, Employment and the Law
A look at what we can and can't do, now that there have been recent changes in discrimination legislation
Registration couldn't be simpler. Just head on over to this page and then click on the link for each webinar you would like to attend. You will receive a confirmation email with joining instructions, and a reminder closer to the day. You will also receive, via email, a copy of the slide presentation following the webinar for you to go over in your own time and at your own pace. All on us.
